Ana Vidovic
BIO
Ana Vidović is internationally acclaimed for her beautiful tone, refined technique, and expressive artistry. Recognized as one of the leading classical guitarists of her generation, she has performed extensively throughout Europe, Asia, Australia, Brazil, and North America.
Her international career includes appearances at many of the world’s leading venues and festivals, including Vienna’s Musikverein, Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw, London’s King’s Place, and New York’s 92nd Street Y. She has performed in major cultural centers such as Paris, Rome, Budapest, Salzburg, Tokyo, São Paulo, Sydney, and Washington, DC, and has appeared throughout the United States and Canada in recital and concerto engagements.
As a concerto soloist, Ms. Vidović has collaborated with numerous orchestras including the Asheville Symphony, Austin Symphony, Reading Symphony, Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra, and Zagreb Philharmonic. She has also appeared at prominent festivals including the International Guitar Festival in London, Caramoor Festival, Colorado Music Festival, Ventura Music Festival, and the Mediterranean Guitar Festival in Barcelona.
A frequent recording artist and educator, Ana Vidović has also gained recognition for her international masterclasses and educational outreach. During the pandemic years, she continued performing through livestream concerts and online teaching projects that reached audiences worldwide.
Ms. Vidović has won top prizes in major international competitions, including first prizes at the Albert Augustine International Competition in Bath, England, the Fernando Sor Competition in Rome, and the Francisco Tárrega Competition in Spain.
Born in Karlovac, Croatia, Ana began playing guitar at age five and became the youngest student admitted to the prestigious National Musical Academy in Zagreb, where she studied with Professor Istvan Romer. Her growing reputation in Europe led to studies at the Peabody Conservatory, from which she graduated.
